Elizabeth Hyman, EVP for public advocacy at CompTIA, was named the first CEO of the XR Association, a trade group representing virtual, augmented and "mixed" reality technology manufacturers. Several big tech companies, including Google and Facebook, launched the association in 2016.

CompTIA hired Cinnamon Rogers to succeed Hyman as EVP for public advocacy. Rogers previously was SVP of government affairs at the Telecommunications Industry Association.

Chris Mahaffey announced he will retire from the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons on Feb. 29, 2020. In a LinkedIn post, he noted his 45 years in association management.

Sam Gerdano is retiring from the role he has held since 1991, executive director of the American Banking Institute. Nick Croce is retiring from the American Psychiatric Association after 13 years as executive director.

Eric McFadden is the new VP of communications at the American Financial Services Association. He was previously chief communications officer for the Roman Catholic Diocese of Washington.
